Celebrity RIP: Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees

So much for singing 'Stayin Alive'- Robin Gibb, the Bee Gees singer is a true fighter, after coming back from a coma last month, Robin Gibb finally succumbed to cancer at age 62.

The 70s wouldn't be the 70s without the Bee Gees, the most legendary musical brother
trio known for their vibrato and falsettos. You can call them one of the earliest
brotherhood-boybands much like their musical spawns Hanson and the Jonas Brothers.

The Bee Gees have sold over 220 Million albums and won 5 Grammy Awards which includes Album of the Year in 1979 for the original sountrack and music on the Travolta flick Saturday Night Fever. With Robin Gibb passing, Barry Gibb now stands as the last of the Bee Gees.

Manic Pixie Dream Girls Invade TV

We have just way too many MPDG in movies and now they are literally slapped onto our faces as sitcoms or chick-TV diatribes. Like many good things, the MPDG is now overkill. TV has taken it a bit too far lately. I'm not worried though as some of these shows, Thank God for sensible viewers and poor ratings! Some have been cancelled.

Corey Feldman and his 300 Lbs. Problem

In recent Celeb Hasbeen news, Corey Feldman is being terrorized by his own 300 lbs. tenant.

If there was a time machine, Corey Feldman would be the first on it. This 80s teen sensation could do better, if Robert Downey, Jason Bateman and Stephen Dorff were able to manage a comeback from the pits of Hollywood hell, then there's still hope for the last remaining Corey. I'm hoping though that an awesome career comeback wouldn't involved a dead MJ or a 300 lbs. woman.

Duets: Another Singing Reality TV Show

Are you psyched about Duets? Another reality TV singing competition in the works with Kelly Clarkson as a mentor.

ABC Network is banking on the numbers being pulled in by other reality TV shows like American Idol, X-Factor and The Voice. So will Duets take off like the 'Voice' or just get instantly cancelled like Karoake Battle USA? The polar opposite of the 'Voice' battlerounds, Duets takes on protege and celeb voice mentor onto the stage. As usual America gets to vote which singing duo gets to stay.

As much as I thought, Kelly Clarkson was trying to distance herself from any reality TV contest, how come she ends up as a judge in Duets. Was her stint as a celebrity mentor in the voice the ultimate pull for her to finally join Reality TV once again? And why the hell is Kelly Clarkson dissing American Idol? She should be at least grateful. AI was the reality show that gave her that famous big break.

More About Duets:
The hosts will individually travel across America looking for undiscovered talent. Ultimately, each star will choose two singers to be his/her duet partners. Together the mentors and their protégés will take the stage each week and perform in front of a live studio audience. In the end, one of the pairs will win, with the amateur getting a recording contract with Hollywood Records.

Other celeb mentors in Duets include Jennifer Nettles, Robin Thicke and John Legend (Lionel Richie has dropped out of the show due to scheduling problems).
